Filter Consumables

Filter consumables are the replaceable media inside a filter housing. Filtsap supplies meltblown (spun), string-wound, pleated, high-flow and specialty membrane cartridges, plus PP and nylon filter bags, from 0.1 to 200 micron, for RO pre-filtration, process liquids and final polishing.

Meltblown Filter Cartridges

Graded-density 100% PP depth cartridges, 1–50 µm, 10"–40". The standard RO pre-filter.

Wound Filter Cartridges

PP string wound on a rigid core for higher flow, pressure and viscous liquids.

Pleated Filter Cartridges

Large-area pleated media down to 0.22 µm with a low pressure drop for final filtration.

High-Flow Filter Cartridges

Large-diameter (6") pleated cartridges handling up to 50+ m³/hr each, so fewer cartridges and smaller housings.

Filter Bags

PP felt and nylon mesh bags, 1–200 µm, size #1 and #2, with welded seams.

Specialty Filter Cartridges

PES, PTFE, nylon and PP membrane cartridges for sterile, solvent, gas and chemical duty.

Filter Housings

A filter housing is the pressure vessel that holds filter cartridges or bags. Filtsap supplies SS 304/316 cartridge and bag housings, UPVC and FRP cartridge housings for water treatment, PP housings for small systems, and high-flow housings, each sized to your flow, pressure and connection.

FAQs

Which filter cartridge should I use for RO pre-filtration?

A 5 micron meltblown (spun) PP cartridge is the standard choice. On dirty feed water, put a 10–20 micron wound cartridge or bag filter in front of it.

What are high-flow cartridges used for?

They replace many standard 2.5" cartridges in large RO and process lines. One 60" high-flow element can do the job of ten or more standard cartridges, which means faster change-outs and a smaller housing.

SS, UPVC or FRP housing — which should I choose?

Choose SS for high temperature, solvents, pharma and food. UPVC is the economical, corrosion-free option for RO and WTPs up to about 50 °C. FRP suits brackish and seawater where steel would corrode.
